How the Dropsafe® Net Works
Overhead fixtures represent a significant Dropped Object risk. Should these fixtures become loose and fall, they pose a threat to both personnel and critical equipment below, and can result in costly operational downtime.
The Dropsafe® Nets are a range of stainless steel wire nets that enclose and tether overhead fixtures, such as lights, speakers, self-retracting lifelines, CCTV cameras, and pipe clamps. These fixtures are at risk of becoming dropped objects in industrial environments due to either corrosion, vibration, poor maintenance or impact from other equipment.
The patented Dropsafe® Net encloses the item being secured, while the integrated securing cable attaches around a structural attachment point. This prevents the fixture, components and mounting bracket from potentially falling.
Each Dropsafe® Net is designed for a specific fixture type, taking into consideration the dimensions, mounting bracket configuration and weight of the fixture to ensure a correct fit. This is critical to minimise shock load in the case of a drop and ensure the net performs.
