MSS has been awarded a contract with BW Offshore for the supply of FRP Phenolic Grating.

Module Solutions & Systems AS (“MSS”) has recently been awarded a new contract. The contract covers the supply of Duragrid Phenolic FRP Grating for installation on BW Offshore’s FPSO BW Adolo.

BW Adolo is an FPSO (Floating Production Storage and Offloading vessel) situated on the West Coast of Africa. The combination of seawater, sun and high temperatures makes using traditional materials challenging as there is a high level of corrosion. This drives maintenance cost due to excessive surface treatment and shorter replacement cycles.

BW Offshore’s engineering team has together with MSS FRP specialists worked out the best solutions for the company to ensure an optimal LCC. Utilizing DNV Type Approved Duragrid Phenolic grating will ensure that they cover the fire integrity and safety requirements, but also lower maintenance needs, increase lifetime and improve overall LCC.

We are impressed by BW Offshore’s future-oriented material philosophy and their high focus on safety, environment and LCC. Together we were able to find optimized solutions for their needs.
